I wrote my first mortgage in 1982 while at C&G over 40 years ago! I worked for the C&G as Manager of several local branches until 2004 when I left to work as an independent mortgage broker. I set up HHH Mortgages in 2015 to provide professional, straightforward and comprehensive advice to clients across the whole spectrum of mortgage lending including holiday let and rental mortgages.
My son Joe joined the business in 2017 and it’s great working with him to expand the business. We have now added later life mortgages advice to our services, which I particularly enjoy providing, although nothing is quite as satisfying as helping first time buyers on their journey to homeownership.
I’ve always lived in the west country and currently live near Stroud with my wife. I enjoy everything our area has to offer. I love horse racing, I play golf (badly), love watching cricket, supporting Swindon Town, reading and the theatre. I wish I could hit a golf ball further, own a Cheltenham winning racehorse, and cook; we are all a work in progress, I guess!
I’ve been an enthusiastic member of local organisations such as Round Table and local networking groups for many years and love meeting new people and finding out about their challenges and aspirations. I have a genuine interest in people and my professional nosey-ness helps me to understand exactly how I can best help each client!

I am lucky to be able to use my many years of experience to help my clients, even in the most challenging circumstances. Seeing a client achieve their aim, despite the hurdles that life can throw up, is supremely satisfying. I enjoy meeting people, building new relationships and having a bit of fun on the way. I always bear in mind that just as I don’t understand my client’s jobs, they won’t understand what I do, so it is important to explain everything clearly. Providing great service to every client drives our success as happy clients recommend us to new clients and these referrals are the life blood of our business.
